European Union support to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons

In September 2021, the European Union (EU) adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2021/1694 in support of the universalization, implementation and strengthening of the Convention on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons Which May Be Deemed to Be Excessively Injurious or to Have Indiscriminate Effects (CCW).

This Decision builds on the EU Joint Action 2007/528/CFSP of 23 July 2007 in support of the CCW.
