UNSCAR Projects Selected in 2016

In the 2016, the following projects were selected for funding. Upon the completion of the final grant agreements, projects will be implemented in 2017/18.

• African Union (AU): The AU-Germany Project on Enhanced SALW Control and Physical Security and Stockpile Management in the Greater Sahel
• Center for Armed Violence Reduction (CAVR): Building a comprehensive arms control system in the Pacific through strengthened implementation of international arms control standards
• Group for research and information on peace and security (GRIP): Building resources and capacities to contain illicit arms flows to embargoed countries and non-state actors
• The HALO Trust: Weapons Control Measures in Bosnia and Herzegovina
• International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA): Coordinating, informing and mobilising civil society action toward the 2018 SALW meetings
• Instituto de Ensenanza para el Desarrollo Sostenible (IEPADES): Developing tools to support implementation of international instruments for small arms control and armed violence prevention in Central America
• Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons (PFSALW): Connecting the dots: Supporting SDG 16, ATT and PoA implementation through increased parliamentary engagement and action in international processes
• Small Arms Survey (SAS): Building National Capacity to Develop Brokering Controls
• Sierra Leone Action Network on Small Arms (SLANSA): Encouraging alternatives to producing illicit firearms
• Stimson Centre: Building capacity for effective implementation and reporting on arms trade regulation
• United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific (UNRCPD): Building Capacity of Central and Southeast Asian States for Streamlining and Strengthening Implementation of the UN Programme of Action
