Target countries: Pacific countries, in particular Melanesian States: Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu
Goal: Reduced vulnerability of the Pacific to illicit arms and armed violence through the adoption of strong international standards for arms control across the region.
Activities and Outputs:

CAVR held sub-regional and national arms-control workshops in Vanuatu focussing on the adoption of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) and the implementation of UNPoA.
- The project provided support to target countries in harmonising legislation, developing centralised arms control database systems, providing gap analyses and organising technical training.
- CAVR published the Implementation Guide for the ATT and UNPoA, launching the guide at a side event during the UN General Assembly First Committee meetings.
