Over the last week, the United Nations played host to three events focusing on youth engagement. In the first, the Office for Disarmament Affairs held a “knowledge exchange” bringing together young professionals from its offices in New York, Geneva, and UNODA’s three Regional Centres for Peace and Disarmament (in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean) to share inspiring ideas for future projects. Youth from China's Diplomatic Advanced Training Program visit UNODA
In January 2019, youth from the Research Center of the United Nations and International Organizations (part of Beijing Foreign Studies University) visited the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) at United Nations Headquarters in New York. The visit was part of the Chinese Youth Diplomatic Advanced Training Program (ATP), which the Research Center created in 2012 to train outstanding young candidates in diplomacy and international affairs.
