
UNSCAR is a flexible multi-donor, quick-impact, theme-focused, United Nations-managed fund supporting arms regulation.
UNSCAR aims to:
- mobilize resources to support the ratification/accession and implementation of relevant international instruments on arms regulations;
- improve effectiveness of assistance through coordination, monitoring and matching of resources; and
- promote increased sustainability through more predictable sources of funding.
Who is eligible for funding?
Civil society organizations (CSOs/NGOs), research institutes, UN partners, international/regional organizations. Governments wishing to receive assistance should work with an eligible applicant.
2025 CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The UNSCAR 2025 Call for Proposals was open from August to September 2025. A record-high total of 103 applications were received. The results of the Selection process will be published on this website in late December 2025. The instructions and forms for the 2025 Call remain posted below for reference only. The next Call for Proposals is tentatively scheduled for summer 2026.

2025-26 CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
UNSCAR seeks financial contributions for the 2025-2026 funding cycle from governments and the private sector. Donors will join UNSCAR’s Strategic Planning Group, which provides policy guidance and participates in the proposal selection process.
