On 7 February 2014, the High Representative met with Mr. Yasuyoshi Komizo, Secretary-General of the Mayors for Peace. The Mayors for Peace network is rapidly approaching 6000 cities in 158 countries. Its goal includes the promotion of the abolition of nuclear weapons by 2020, including a Nuclear Weapons Convention.
