The UN Programme of Action (PoA) on small arms and light weapons envisages the convening of Biennial Meetings of States “to consider the national, regional and global implementation of the Programme of Action.”
In light of the situation concerning the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the General Assembly postponed BMS7 to a period in 2021 to be decided by the General Assembly at its seventy-fifth session.
