Increasing Effective Implementation of the ATT Through Practical Understanding of the Gender-based Violence Criteria

Target countries: Central and Eastern Europe

Goal: Contribute to the robust implementation of Articles 6 and 7, among Central and Eastern European countries, to support the incorporation of the gender-based violence criteria into export risk assessments and increasing technical knowledge among key officials.

Activities: Convene one 3-day in-person workshop with governmental officials from Central and Eastern Europe in order to deepen knowledge about Article 6 and 7 in relation to GBV, and their relevance for the ATT risk assessment process. And, organizing side events at the fifth ATT Conference of States Parties (CSP2019) and the UNGA First Committee for Disarmament and International Relations.
